报告人简介：

      Dr. Michel Fillon was formerly a CNRS Director of Research in the Prime Institute at the University of Poitiers located in France, being retired in January 2022. From  2002 to 2010, he was Manager of the "Tribology" team and then Director of Department “Solid Mechanics” of the Pprime Institute in 2010 & 2011. He is a    Fellow of ASME and of STLE. From 2006 to 2008, he was the Chair of the “Research Committee” of ASME Tribology Division. He was a member of the Board of Directors of STLE from May 2016 to May 2021. He has been an Associate Editor of ASME Journal of Tribology from 2003 to 2009. He was also co-Editor-in-Chief of “Tribology International” for more than 7 years (October 2014 to December 2021) . He is currently co-Editor-in-Chief of “Mechanics & Industry”, Associate Editor of “Lubricants” and Editorial Board member of several other journals. Actually, he was the editor of more than 15 journals. Professor Michel Fillon is a world-renowned scholar in tribology and bearing.

报告内容： Reflecting on the four-decade journey of research in hydrodynamic journal and thrust bearings. From the breakthrough in engineering applications of Reynolds equations in the 1980s to the emergence of smart lubrication systems today, this critical technology underpinning ships, aviation, and energy equipment has witnessed the perfect integration of theory and practice.
